Spring Fashion Trend: How To Wear Ruffles

Happy Friday beauties! I don't know about you all but I am SO ready for the weekend. It has been a long week and I'm looking forward to re-charging a bit.

So this post is all about one of spring's biggest fashion trends, ruffles. Now if you know me, you know that I'm usually not fond of ruffles. If you're anything like me then you associate ruffles with the dress that your mom used to make you wear on picture day or to church. If you're thinking that way, think again. These days ruffles have a more sophisticated, feminine (not little girl), and romantic look. Ruffles are also the perfect way to bring the drama to any look.

If you are struggling with how to wear the ruffle trend, my advice to you is to pair your ruffle statement piece with an item that is simple. In this look, my skirt has ruffle detail and a pattern. I knew that a simple tee would compliment it best. Having too much detail or texture in my top would have been overdoing it. If you're afraid of looking too girly, mix the feminine ruffles with something edgy. For example, with my look I could have thrown on a leather jacket or opted for a pair of boots.
